Facilitation To facilitate literally means to "make easy." Today, facilitation centers on an objective, uninvolved person who helps groups get better results with greater involvement among all participating. In these group settings, from formal small teams to various work sessions with any number of participants, facilitators can play many roles. The facilitator can be a discussion leader, a breakthrough contributor, a challenger, a strategist, a process expert, a coach, a teacher, or one who offers concepts for consideration. CESD offers facilitation services by professionals who have experience in facilitating all types of teams, strategic planning sessions, organizational retreats, and special project planning activities. CESD offers facilitation training led by professional practicing facilitators who bring 'real-world' examples of facilitation in action. During the past decade, CESD has developed extensive facilitation materials that serve as a reference for the practicing facilitator or a comprehensive training manual for the beginner. From deploying successful coaching strategies to dealing with challenging behaviors in group settings, CESD teaches key principles and practices that work best for facilitators. |
